About Norwin City
Discover the story of a community built on tradition, civic pride, and a vision for tomorrow.
Our Story
Founded in 1894 as a thriving rail hub, Norwin City quickly grew into a center of commerce and community life. The construction of Heritage Square in the 1920s, with its stunning Art Deco municipal buildings, cemented the city’s identity as a place that valued both progress and beauty.
Through the decades, Norwin has weathered change while preserving the architectural and cultural treasures that make it unique. In 1975, the Historic District Commission was established, ensuring that growth and preservation could coexist harmoniously.
Today, Norwin City is home to over 25,000 residents who share a deep connection to this special place. We continue to invest in education, public safety, infrastructure, and the arts — always guided by the founding values of community, quality, and civic responsibility.
